Fully furnished room for rent in Kosher and Shabbat friendly apartment. You will be subletting my room for the remainder of our lease which ends August 1st. My room is carefully furnished with mostly new and modern furnitureaccessories (mostly from Ikea!). Lots of storage space. Two large windows overlook 99th, which is a pretty and quiet street. The windows let in a lot of light, which is great for the winter months as the sun warms the room, and perfect for summery months because the room get a lot of air and a wonderful cross breeze.
My apartment is less than 12 a block from Riverside Park and the river. Included with the Room is a new Sony TVDVD combo wremote and cable, an electric heater besides the gas heater (if you use it be prepared to chip in more for utilities), a full sized bed and mattress wlinens (feel free to use your own linens), a three drawer Dresser, a Wardrobe, a Night Stand, Lots of shelves attached to the walls, an ergonomic laptop desk w an ergonomic rolling stool. I''d rather find someone who wants to keep the furniture in the room for the remainder of the lease, but if you have any of your own furniture you want to bring in, that too is an option. The apartment has Wireless internet and cable TV. A remarkably large kitchen and bathroom (the shower has terrific water pressure - you know it''s important), and really great roommates. My roommates are very cool and friendly - D''ror and Chanel work at Columbia''s Hillel.
Rachel is an electrical engineer. They are all in their mid to upper 20s. Dror is only here 3 nights a week, and until April Rachel is working on a project onsite in Long Island, and will only be in the apartment on the weekends, so essentially you will only be sharing the apartment with Chanel. The kitchen is kosher (seperate dishes for meat and milk) and we only cook with kosher food. Other than that, we are all pretty relaxed. We each have our individual ways of observing shabbat. While there is a shabbat atmosphere , you are welcome to do whatever you wish in your own room. Rachel is an awesome cook and occasionally make friday night dinner. The apartment is on the 5th floor of an elevator building, with laundry facilities in the basement. I have moved back to L.A, so my room is available immediately! Ideally I''d like someone who can take the entire lease, but I can be flexible if necessary. Rachel and Chanel will be renewing the lease in August, so if you all get along and you want to make the arrangement permanent, that too is an option. My roommates will have to live with you so if yo uare interested in seeing the apartment you will be meeting with them, but I will be in touch with you too.
